When it comes to the holiday season, I think the hardest people to shop for are the men in our lives. Husbands, boyfriends, dads, brothers- it can be so so impossible to decide what to buy, and tempting to take the easy way out and throw video games and gift cards in their direction. Wanting to branch out just a little, I’ve done some browsing and online shopping, and these are some of my favorite guy gifts this season.
I’m a sucker for a sharp dressed man, so some dapper menswear had to make this list. I love the rich velvet on this burgundy blazer, and the price tag on this classic black one. This marled cardigan is bulky yet soft- perfect for me to steal from David! Joggers may just be hipster sweatpants, but they definately look sleeker and more presentable, even with old school canvas tennies. And these cap-toe leather boots are perfect for our mild winter weather.
The bacon-making kit I got David last year was a major hit, so this year a smoker makes the list. An equipment upgrade is always a slamdunk gift. Also with his belly in mind, I chose the Food Lab book, an amazing read for anyone truly interested in the science of food, and this milk and cookies plate, perfect for dessert dunking. This whiskey wedge is also intriguing- it molds the ice to the rocks glass for a supposedly better drinking experience?
We’ve been traveling more and more, and David needs luggage. I’ve been eying these sleek Calpak suitcases for him, and love the retro vibe and mixed textiles of this duffel bag. A travel trimmer and shaver is a classic men’s gift, and this one has all the bells and whistles for a steal.
I’m also going to grab him some pajamas, and I’d bend over backwards to score a Nintendo Classic for him, as impossible of a task as that seems- I’ll be honest that I also kind of want it for myself!
In past years, along with experience gifts, I’ve chosen these Ugg slippers, classic adidas, a Burberry scarf, deck shoes, and a leather toiletry kit for David, all of which have gone over well. Hopefully some of these ideas help you spoil your gentlemen giftees.
