Even before our baby was born, I was a floor sitter. Rather than a chair, I’ve always been more comfortable sprawling on the floor to read, relax, or write, or do whatever. And now that I spend most of my time with a tiny human with a very low center of gravity, I spend more time than ever hanging out on the floor.
Asher and I tend to spend our early mornings together, on vintage hardwood floor of his room, while daddy gets a little more rest. I grab his bottle when I hear him call for me, scoop him out of his crib, and we snuggle up so he can eat. We read as many books as we can, make faces, have dance parties, and catch up on all the cuddles and kisses I missed while he slept.
Before Ashe, I’ll be honest that I didn’t care all that much about our cleaning product habits and routines. Whatever our biweekly housecleaner used was fine with me previously, but I care way more now that Asher drags himself across, rolls around on, and even LICKS the floor. I tend to leave a clean microfiber pad with it so it’s ready to go with minimal effort on my part when I have a moment.
