a skincare soirée

You all know how seriously I take my skincare, and how important it is to me that it not only feel luxurious, but also be effective. I like science behind my skincare. So I was super excited to have an opportunity to host some of my favorite blogger girlfriends and get to introduce them to the loveliness that is Thann skincare, a line that hails from Thailand.

My lovely friend Marissa was my cohost, and I swear we didn’t even plan to coordinate our navy attire. We hosted our girlfriends on the rooftop of the Ace Hotel in downtown LA, and had the most perfect weather for a sunset skincare soirée.

My talented friend Tabitha brought her floral bar to the patio of our suite at the Ace, and stocked it with armfuls of peachy blooms, leafy greens (including Shiso, the active ingredient in Thann’s line). Along with yummy bites and delicious cocktails, each guest was able to build a little floral arrangement to take home, along with their Thann skin treats.

After eating, drinking, and mingling, it was time for product testing! Everyone was able to try the line for themselves, and there was masking and mini-facials. Thann’s peel-off mask is a favorite of mine, and I was so excited when the girls loved it as much as I do!

Beyond telling y’all about our fun time, I wanted to share some of my fave Thann products with you. I’m always on the hunt for the most moisture for my bleached hair, and I love that this hair mask moisturizes deeply but doesn’t leave my hair weighed down at all. The astringent toner with nano shiso and algae is refreshing but not drying, which I appreciate. The facial serum is lightweight and layers well with the other products in my skincare routine, like the age inversion skin cream, which is packed with ingredients like hydrolyzed rice protein and antioxidants from black tea to smooth skin and maintain elasticity. And the Eden breeze body oil spray smells amazing and is so luxurious on my dry skin.
