The weather is lovely in LA this time of year, and the heavy rains earlier this spring have revitalized our green spaces for the first time in several years. It’s beautiful to see, and it makes certain little alcoves of the city into nature escapes. Griffith Park’s been looking especially inviting lately, so we thought it was time for Asher’s first trip to the zoo!
We decided to go slightly spontaneously, and wanted to bring some snacks, so we had lunch delivered to feed our hungry baby and selves. Asher’s all about food these days.
We wandered all over the zoo looking for the elephants, but they seemed to be resting or hiding from us. The flamingos came ready to mingle, and we spent quite a while watching Kevin the peacock preen. Sophie the giraffe is Asher’s very favorite chewie, and it was fun to see how fascinated he was by the giraffes, almost like he knew them.
One of the things we did around the time Asher was born was some financial streamlining, with a goal of making our money work harder, so we can spend more time playing with our baby boy.
